Recently, couples are learning that their parents’ relationship are not necessarily the best prototypes for today’s marriages. Our parents had it easier in some ways; their roles were clearly defined while ours are not. The women’s movement has greatly changed the roles men and women lay within marriages and families. Granted, we- both men and women- have more freedom to choose, but with this freedom comes uncertainty. No wonder we are confused.
